All of Cooper-Garrod’s wines are 100% Estate, meaning they are grown, produced, and bottled right here. We have 28 acres of vineyards that are located within walking distance from our tasting room. What’s more is that all of our vineyards are CSWA Sustainable and CCOF Certified Organic.
Our founder and winemaker, George Cooper, established this vineyard, our first, in 1972 under the tutelage of legendary winemaker Martin Ray and with the help of son and daughter, niece and nephew. Martin Ray provided cuttings from the original Paul Masson vineyards, which he owned in the 1930 and 1940's, and which were among the oldest in California. In 2008, we replanted 1/2 acre with Pinot Noir.
